There is a competitor which offers this feature. Ill send the URL in private to the owner of Fast.io, but, would love to have automatic webp conversion.

We do support WebP by default, but we have it disabled. We are waiting for wider WebP adoption. Currently Safari 13 does not support WebP. We can still optimize that content in JPEG form. After Safari 14 has wider adoption, we may revisit this. If there is enough demand (not yet) we may add this is as an option to enable on a Site by Site bases.
